Surprise! Happy Thursday!
I know I said I wasn’t posting on Thursdays anymore, but this week you get a quick bonus post because I was nominated for this award after I had already scheduled all of my posts for January and I didn’t want to wait until February and I wanted to fit it in…and this seemed like the best option.
And that was pretty much the worse run-on sentence I have ever written.
Ahem…onwards!

For this award, I have to post 7 random facts about myself. Here goes:
- I recently became obsessed with Broadway music. I love a lot of musicals and I can’t think of any of them at the moment. Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Les Miserables, West Side Story. I haven’t actually seen any of them though. 😦
- One of my favorite book series of all time is The Penderwicks series by Jeanne Birdsall. AGGGHHH it’s so good! Read it read it read it!
- I have a strange obsession with the Tudor family from British history. (Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Elizabeth I, Bloody Mary, and all of those wonderful and not-so-wonderful people.)
- I take Latin in school and actually really enjoy it.
- I prefer print books to ebooks/Kindles and physical planners to doing my planning on my phone. I don’t know why, I just do.
- I love making up outfits to wear and really enjoy clothes.
- I have been playing piano for more than ten years now, I think, and really enjoy it.
And yay! I’m running out of time to write this post, so I’m not going to nominate any specific people, but I will say this:

True and Pure 
Ahhhh both of you take Latin? (I knew Emily did but not you too Grace!) I take it online and am in Latin III but have only been studying Latin for 1 yr and 1/2. It can be very difficult but I do enjoy it. I actually just wrote and translated my own poem into Latin on my blog and would love you Latin scholars to see how I did XD I wish my local schools, private and public, would offer Latin 😦 I play guitar but I would love to learn piano too one day

Yay for Latin scholars! It’s not the most common choice of language to study so I always like finding other people who take it 🙂

That’s a really good poem! I’m highly impressed because writing in Latin is much harder for me than reading it. Nice job!

Thank you so much Grace! It was extremely hard, I’ll be honest. I think it’s important to have, in Latin, some where for us to translate English into Latin, and not /just/ Latin into English, because I think you learn even more about the language (I sure did LOL). Thank you again for reading it, I appreciate it 🙂

I think I just need to study it more. But all those declensions and conjugations and AHH it drives me bonkers. I’ll have been taking it three years in August. Sigh.
I take Latin in school too…. I’m home-schooled but it’s a part of my curriculum, and I hate it.
I also take piano but not quite as long. I took it for a year when I was 8… and quit… then when I was 11… and stopped… and now I’ll have been taking it a year again in February but I will not stop! I love my piano teacher so I don’t see that changing. 🙂
Oh and Brooke gave me The Penderwicks for Christmas and I need to read the book!!

Are you reading original sources and poetry and stuff in Latin yet? Because I hated Latin last year, and this year once we finished the textbook and started reading Ovid I really started to love it. So if you aren’t to that point yet, just stick with it and you might enjoy it more.
